Is it because I'm playing the 2.0 translation patch or what?Ĭurrently baffled that anyone could finish this without a guide. This was not the case for me, the crest is definitely in the cave. When you have the Idol and the Charm, the flame will then let you pass through to the Cave to Rhone. From there, go to the Shrine of Rubiss in the sea, and you will be rewarded with the Charm of Rubiss. Go upstairs in the weapon shop and talk to the King who's pretending he's not the king, and you will get the Life Crest. The Life Crest which was originally in the basement of the Cave to Rhone has been moved to Tantegal Castle. "They changed things up a little in this version. Speaking of the statue, why does it have two names in the game? I only found it on pure chance as I was getting frustrated and started trying everything I could, would've been much better if either the elder gave a good hint or if the evil statue showed the exit. It kinda sucks that the elder in that monolith is so vague, and when you do walk outside (where the neutral monster talking about the water crest is), it looks like you can't exit to the world map either because of the surrounding swamp tiles. Where 's the clue about the exit from the Rondarkia Shrine/monolith? I only found it through a gamefaqs post and it said that it would be to the north when it's actually to the south in the room with the teleporter. Where is the "place of information" located? I took a screenshot of this NPC when he mentioned the eye of malroth, but later on forgot where I found him. What they should've done is have the ship warp with you at teleporters and/or make it possible to pick warp location with the return spell from previously visited save points.

I mean I'm playing with an encounters on/off toggle code and fastforward and it's still tedious to me. Other than that I think this is a decent improvement over I, except all the backtracking for locked doors gets really tedious. I probably could've found that one eventually, but the water crest was just ridiculous to me. Speaking of the game in general, did anyone else have a problem finding the water crest or Rogue Fastfinger? The only clue I eventually found via a forum for the sooner is extremely well hidden (and you're supposed to go south through the black wall in the teleporter room, not north like someone said on gamefaqs, if anyone is looking for that and reads this - there is actually a hidden seed in the same room if you go north and one tile to the right and search though!), and the latter was tricky because there are several locked, empty rooms in the game that you're likely to encounter beforehand, making this one seem like less of an oddity, and searching each tile of his cell like I did doesn't yield any clues. Well I read that I can just skip this event so that's what I did, thanks for the replies.
